Zeal Without Knowledge is Dangerous
It is good to be zealous. Passion fuels dreams and energizes us for the journey ahead. However, zeal without knowledge can become a threat—not just to our goals, but to the very purpose God has for our lives.
Why is Knowledge So Important?

It gives direction to your zeal.
Of what use is speed when you are heading in the wrong direction? Knowledge ensures that your energy is channeled correctly. -
It acts as a speed regulator.
Life is a marathon, not a sprint. There are times when speed is unnecessary. Sometimes, what you need most is to slow down, reflect, and simply be present—either to enjoy the moment or to endure it with grace. -
It teaches the right approach.
You can’t force a square peg into a round hole. Zeal alone cannot solve every problem—strategy, wisdom, and insight are essential. -
It helps you choose the right companions.
This brings to mind an experience I had a few years ago. After a long, hectic day, I found myself caught in typical Lagos traffic. Desperate to get home quickly, I saw a car in front of me take a turn and, without thinking, I followed. I assumed it was a shortcut, but to my surprise, I ended up at the gate of the man’s house! 😀My zeal to escape traffic had me following someone whose destination was completely different from mine. I had to reverse, retrace my steps, and join the original route. By then, those who had patiently stayed on the path were far ahead. That misstep cost me time, energy, and progress.
Be sure of the people you're journeying with. Not everyone is heading in your direction.

The journey of life becomes frustrating when it's void of knowledge. But when zeal is guided by wisdom, your efforts will yield tangible, lasting results.
